Growing Capacity for Living with Change ~ Awakening Self Healing through Connection ~ In Service to Community and the Greater Earth Body

Customized Threshold Crossing and Rites of Passage Experiences

What is a threshold crossing?

Why is it important to honor these times of transition and transformation?

What are the lifeways that support a new way of being and relating?

Threshold crossing moments in our modern times can show up in many guises: life stage transitions, a call to change the way one lives from 'frantically doing from an agenda of productivity’ to a way of ‘being from a place of embodiment and listening’, pivots in career paths, significant losses, a global pandemic, physiological changes accompanying life stage transitions, approaching marriage or parenthood and examining ones relationship to systems of oppression, power and privilege are just some of the ways that we are asked to transform and cross into new aspects of ourselves and our lives. Oftentimes these crossings call on us to align with the depth of our soul, activating a next layer of physical, mental, emotional and/or spiritual healing. They are initiatory experiences that can touch on the seemingly paradoxical experiences of grief and celebration.

These times can be well served by being held in a container that supports a severance from a well examined “old way of being” into the fecund and mysterious liminal space of deep listening where guidance can be received. Often times, life throws us into these experiences head first without much preparation or support from our greater community. Other times, we may have a sense that something is missing in our life or that we need support in strengthening ourselves for something we sense we are stepping towards, but don’t yet know what it is.

Having supported people in such transitions and transformations over the past two decades, I offer my presence, regulated nervous system and guidance to witness, reflect and mirror you as you find your way into what calls you forward.

“Working with Kari in a mentor/mentee relationship is a tremendous gift. Her integrity, ground and compassion comes through in all our interactions. I have felt her show up again and again to our relationship with a depth of caring, a sense of selfless service, and total presence. Her upright and attentive relationship to herself, others and the natural world is inspiring, and I have appreciated the diverse array of experiences and modalities that she draws upon in our work together."

Kari Stettler is an incredible mentor and facilitator, holding space with deep love and a keen understanding. She asks “who are you?” and “how are you showing up for this life?” again and again, turning to the heart of things with great compassion and strength. She was a true anchor for me as I walked along the road of those questions, seeing me and reminding me to stay tethered to my aliveness. In an over-culture whose tangled stories tell us to turn away from our own strength and beauty, to keep ourselves small, to fear what is wild within us, Kari and her work are deep medicine. I think of her as a midwife of the soul; with patience and fierce trust she helped loosen many internal knots, and supported me as I rewove the threads into something strong, beautiful, alive, and truly me. I am immeasurably grateful for Kari and how much passion and energy she dedicates to the work of helping people give birth to, and care for, their souls and their holy gifts to this world.
